Hey, I just got there last 2 weeks..Anyway, there are two ways to get there from Manila either by ship or by plane. But the best way is to take it by ship as the WG&A Shippind company has trips twice a week to the city. It will take you 3 days and 2 nights, if you're not into cruising, you may take a plane from Manila to Cagayan de Oro City and then a bus ride from Cagayan to Ozamis where it will take you 4 to 5 hours the least.

First time in going there?

Well
here is what ya do to Get to Ozamiz City MIsamis Occidental Philippines.

If you did your homework correctly, You would have contacted your local travel agent you normaly use to help in planning y6our vacation. If you do not have a travel agent or never used one, you can ask your friends or famly if they might be able to recoment a good reliable one. Most Travel agencys like mine I use usualy have all the contacts for airfair prices for the dates you will be going to and from your vacation destination. Usualy.hotels.resorts,activities,tour busses, sights to see, visitors safty (where and where not to go if you are a foreigner, especialy if you have never traveled to this country or destination before for your vacatiob) Travel agents fees usual are added to the total cost of the vacation $35.00 to $100.00 fee for their services. Most travel agrents are fair and will provide mosost of the accomidation and things needed to have a pleasent, fun filled, relaxing and enjoyable vacation...
So your prbably sitting there reading this and hitting yourself in the head thinking to yourself "Gee, now why didn't I think of that!" Lack of information and proper planningis what ended you up asking how to get to Ozamiz City Misamis Occidental Philippines. Also Why didn't the girl you like so much, whome you are visiting and has lived their most of her life help you out with the answer to some of the qu3estions. If you asked her to help and has no answers, doesn't know what to do or how to help plan your trip, is feeding you a line of bull, may be lazy and doesn't really care about you amd is just happy to have found someonewho is wearring a Neon sign on there head Flashing Sucker. She is probably thinking "thanks for the free ride and everything payed for trip to the United States. I may be wrong but you must admit it does seem abit odd that she has lived there her whole life and can't tell you a way to get to Ozamiz City, From Manila international airport. They learn that in school.. My friend she has helped me.
She told me how to get to OzamizCity Occidental from Manila. She said I have two choices, 1. I can take the scenic rount and travel to Ozamis City by boat which takes 3 days, or take an intercontenental flight from Manila and I have to destinations I can Land in and both destination take aproxamitly 1hr to 1 1/2 hour flight from Manila.then you will ned to get a buss, or have a car waitting to drive you all the way to OzamiZ City. 1 choice is the destination of Cagayan from there the drive or buss ride will take aproxamitly 4 hours to reach OzamiZ City. 2 Choice which I am taking and recomend will land you in Dipolog and the aproxamite travel time is 2 hours to reach Ozamiz City.
I then gave all this information to my travel agent and within 20 mins she had me the lowest airfair for the dates I will be travelling to and from Manilla, She told me I had on 1 hour lay over in some country and when I arive in Manila I would have a one hour lay-over before I board the inter continental flight to Dipolog. My friend She had given me the web address to a very nice hotel named http://www.royalgardenhotelozamiz.com/
you can get a Imperial Suiy at that Hotel for $50.pp per night.

So guy, lack of planning and the fact your girl you lovr and supovly she loves you but won't help or offer any suggestion how to get to or where to stay in my opinion doesn't really care that much.

anywho good luck
