Molise Family from Agnone

If anyone has been to Agnone, can you give me some travel tips?
My friend and I will be on a quest to visit Agnone. From where my ancestors came. Reading the other postings, I have learned the best way to get there would be train from Rome to Isernia, then continue to Agnone by bus.

This quest has been stirring inside me for some time now. My Grandmother Genoveffa Cacciavillani Cerimele daughter of Guiseppi Cerimele and Carmella Cacciavillani came from Agnone. I know for sure - found her birth certificate on microfilm. This is so exciting to me. It is truly a blessing to find this information and visit the area of my roots.

You have probably already gone to Agnone and come back. We were there in July 2006 to visit my grandfather's farm--the in which he grew up. My cousins (his nephews) still live and work on the farm. I have a friend in Agnone, who I met through an American cousin. She translated and enabled us to have a wonderful visit. Agnone is beautiful. The people are loving and warm, so beautiful in their attitude. My husband and I would like to go back and spend more time there. My grandmother came from there, too, but I do not know where her home was. I hope you had a wonderful trip!! It was amazing to visit the farm and see the old house where he grew up. I got to visit the small church where he was probably baptized, had communion and was confirmed.

It was an amazing experience. We drove there from Rome. It was a beautiful drive and very exciting.
