| Takato | Shopping: Guitars made in Takato Posted: Wed August 23, 2006 09:12 PM UTC
I am interested in a twelve string accoustic guitar, brand name Egima, made in Takato, but can currently find no information about a guitar manufacturer by this name in Takato. Does this company still exist? What information might you have on this company, either past or present? Is there any contact information?
Thank you for any information you might be able to give me. |

I think it is Mr. Uchida’s workshop.
http://www10.plala.or.jp/harp-g/UchidaGuitar.htm UCHIDA Mitsuhiro 4947-27 Fujisawa, Takato-cho, Ina-shi, Nagano-ken 396-0301, JAPAN Telephone: 0265-96-2145 Currently he has 10 years back-orders.

I just saw your reply about Mr. Uchida's Workshop. Thank You!
I already own this Egima guitar and want to know it's value. It was purchased on Okinowa in the 70's. Did Mr. Uchida possibly craft this guitar? I cannot read his website since it is in Japanese. If you can give me more information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

It is better ask him directly.
As he is certified as "the Teaching officer, Key worker", by the UK government, he must have no problem in English.
