Zhuhai Travel Forum

Hi,

I am from Singapore and I will be travelling to GongBei, Zhuhai to work and live. I have been recommended by a local chinese agent to buy an apartment at JinZhong Garden in Gongbei. Does anyone know if this is a good recommendation etc? What is the environment of this place and the approximate price per sq m for the property there? Are there better places etc?

Don't know about the garden u mentioned,however my advice is to rent first .Until u are familiar with the surrondings it's best not to jump on the wagon.For newly developed buildings u may be able to obtain bank financing from the developer.Local banks do not finance secondhand sales.Also there is a tax of 10 to 14% on the property value for sles made within 5 years of purchase

good advice in the first post. I think zhuhai property will prove to be a good investment and Gongbei is OK but I prefer the Jida area of town as it is cleaner and is not full of hookers.

No problem for big residencial project with reputable developer.Don't go for small units build on farmland as ther could be problem transferring the title deeds.Some of us opt to take a mortgage as then there is a safeguard ie :the bank will ensure that the project is legal and the tittle is good.
