Hi
I am staying in Guatemala City for about 2 months. How much would an average, ok standard 2-bedroom apartment cost aprox? |

Gee -- no one answered you for two months? Check the Santa Clara Apartments in Zone 10. I think they are on Calle 11 -- many of the units are empty. A friend rents there for about $500 a month.
Renting is complicated here in Guate involving lawyers for a lease, etc. You would probably do better trying to get long terms rates at a hotel. Good luck! Carol

I hope my reply is still useful to you. There are several one bedroom places where you can rent on a weekly or monthly basis. The problem is that they are downtown in zone 1 which at night is not a very safe place. During the day the area is safe though with pleny of business and police presence. They are fully furnished and rent for about US$200 a month (502) 2230-2045 or 2230-5816. Another place Hotel Posada del Sol (502) 2230-0668. Check out the clasiweb on www.prensalibre.com also. Good luck
