Would like advise: if I am already in Busan with a rental car, what is the best way to get to Jeju Island? Options: 1. Leave the car in Busan & fly; 2. Leave car in Busan & take ferry; 3. Drive farther west and take ferry from closer place - any other ideas I might not have thought of?? Will be there at end of Sept.

Frankly I don't know much about the ferries from Busan. Flying is probably the easiest option...
On the other hand, you definitely need a car on Jeju-Do. Hence, if I were you, I'd check the cost of renting a car on Jeju-Do versus getting your own car to Jeju-Do by ferry. I reckon it would pretty much depend on how long you intend to stay on the island. Google the web and I'm sure you will find your answers on the ferry-issue. Cheers, Robert
