trying to decide whether to go to: GASTHOF BUTZ, Hotel Bayerischer Hof , or Gasthof Zum Ochsen...All have availability; comfort, quiet and good breakfasts would help; going by train and walking around town. any recommendations?

I've stayed a couple nights at Zum Ochsen, good price, inside the walls so within 5 minutes to the square. I do remember the food at thier restaurant was not the best (at dinner), breakfast was average/good.
The other B&B we found with good price, central, good food, was Zum Breiterlie- one of the only smoke free places we found in Rothenburg. I did a tip on in in our Germany lodging page. good luck
