| Nottingham | Winter in Nottingham - ladies overcoat Posted: Sun August 20, 2006 08:44 AM UTC
Hi everyone,
I'll be studying in Uni. of Nott. starting September. Can you suggest a good place to buy ladies overcoat and snow boot? What's the tentative price range? How's the YMCA at nottingham? Thanks a lot. |

Loads of place in Nottingham to buy an overcoat. Every dress and clothes shop plus department stiores will have them.
Not sure that you will need snow boots though. A good pair of shoes or ankle boots will be fine. there are several shoe shops in the city centre.

As a student (on a budget) why not have a look round the second-hand charity shops, most will only sell clothes in good condition. This is quite acceptable in the UK.

Charity (thrift) shops are brilliant places to look for clothes (and perfectly acceptable, as stated above) but there are loads of places to buy coats etc. You really won't need snowboots; if it snows at all it's unlikely to last long or be very deep. There are loads of shoes shops too, so you can spend many a happy hour browsing when you are actually over here. Enjoy!
