any idea which one of them is better in terms of dining and diving and beach and romantic setting? Fancy going to one of them for a 4 day and 3 night package.

going with Berjaya coz of the Berjaya flight package from KL/SIN, going with Laguna coz of the flight package direct from HK... the latter is almost full board included.

both are just as good............easier to go direct.Usually 6 meals are included in laguna and all the other small to medium hotels.Certain meals are not provided in berjaya.But all in all, the packages given by hotels are worth it.Enjoy youself in redang.i know you will, i have been there.Bye

Hmm, interesting question. Fortunately, I've been to both. Honestly, there is little difference between these two. Nonetheless, what I can summarize:

Berjaya Redang:
- amazing beach and very secluded with super powdery soft sands
- quite expensive but privacy almost guaranteed

Laguna Redang:
- amazing architecture of traditional influence, very delightful
- can be very crowded because it is a popular resort
- lack of privacy because there are at least 10 other resorts on the stretch of the beach
- beautiful beach as well

I have a review of Berjaya Redang on my VT P.Redang page. I have not been to Laguna Redang though.

Save for lunch, breakfasts and dinners should be included in the SGP/RED packages. I see it as a good chance to try the restaurants outside the resort though.

As mentioned, Berjaya owns the former Teluk Dalam Beach - gradual slope, good and fine sand but hardly any fishes.

hi, i have not stayed in berjaya redang before but stayed at redang beach and another resort along the same stretch as laguna redang. I think it's the best stretch in redang island with white sandy beach and clear water. I'm not sure about now but been there few years ago, twice.
