From Malaga airport you would have to get on the train to Fuengirola, because Malaga coachpark is in the opposite direction which you are heading. Once in Fuengirola you would need to cross the road from the Train station to the coach station and get on a bus to Algeciras. Once in Algeciras get on another bus to Tarifa operating every 30min from 0630 to 2100hrs. I dont think there are direct buses from Malaga to Tarifa. Costs for Fuengirola to Algeciras, which is the longest part of the journey is just above 8 euros and it takes about 2hrs. From Malaga airport to Tarifa I would say is about 150km.

The bus comapnay that is big in Cadiz province called TRANSPORTES GENERALES COMES has a regular service between ALGECIRAS and TARIFA. You can get ideas of times on www.tgcomes.es
Malaga airport has two regular buses. One goes into the town of Malaga (east). The other goes west to Marbella. You can choose either if you want. If you get the Marbella bus it's not as frequent but I think you can find all the times on http://www.ctsa-portillo.com/ You may have to look at the times FROM Marbella and then the return times. The bus company is called PORTILLO. The other bus company that operates some services in this region is ALSINA GRAELLS. http://www.alsinagraells.es/
