Trains in Benelux are really cheap and always run on time.

At least change of trains twice is necessary:
Departure: Brussel-Nat.-Luchthaven/Bruxelles-Nat.-Aeroport 1) Brussel Noord/Bruxelles Nord 2) Rotterdam Centraal Arrival: Utrecht Centraal Traveltime 3 to 3.5 hours. PJ

Just make sure which airport in Brussels you mean. Charleroi also counts as a Brussels airport for cheap flights but it's a 45 min. busride to/from Brussels itself.
