Nassau Travel Forum

My fiance and I will be marrying in Nassau Easter Weekend. We really like the Sandyport Beach and Gazebo (behind Poop Deck). Is this beach as nice as the others on the island? We want a beautiful beach....what about the Colonial Hilton Beach? Any recommendations on a beautiful but semi private beach would be appreciated. Also.... has anyone seen a reception done at the Poop Deck?

I was actually at the Poop Deck for dinner when we vacationed in Nassau and there was a wedding ceremony that had just taken place on the beach which looked beautiful. The party seemed to have booked the entire outside deck with the walkway onto the beach. It looked like the restaurant was very accommodating and right on top of everything that was taking place. To me, it looked like the restaurant had also illuminated everything very tastefully and quite gorgeous. Well at least from an onlooker's perspective. Other than that, our food that night was excellent, so at least you should be very happy with the "catering" part of it. Good luck!
