Hello friends,

I would like to go from Nice to St Tropez but i think the price of the taxi are too much expensive on the airport and we can't choose the car we want , the limo the price are too much expensive , i have found a company the name is easydrivers.fr and they do luxury cars with drivers for the taxi price around 250 of course it's an offical limousine what do you think about that ?

Bye see you on the papagayo.

Type NiceLife into your VT search window above. This is a Member Search.

When you get to NiceLife's Home Page, check his Travel Page on Nice for Transportation Tips (at the bottom).

Alternatively, type either St. Tropez or Nice into the VT search window and do it as a Destination Search. Again, check NiceLife's Travel Pages and Transportation Tips. He has this all covered very well.

Hopefully, later he'll log on and answer you here.

(Hi Beau' - like the new photo!)

Nice - St Tropez? If you want to waste money you can get a limo or even charter a helicopter, but if you want a sensible price you are going to have to brave public transport. I know that causes palpitations for some folk but this is Europe and thats how things work.

You have basically two choices.

49 Euro buys you a Trans Cotes d'Azur boat day trip from Nice Quai Lunel Tues to Sun in high season July and August, otherwise Tues Thurs and Sunday until September, after that forget it. 9.00am depart Nice 11.30 - 16.30 in St Tropez, and return.

If that doesn't suit, up a gear - set out early to Nice Gare Ville and hop on a train hour and a bit to St Raphael. That munches up 80% of the distance at a sensible price. From St Raphael you have three choices:

Local buses to St Tropez - a bit treacherous with traffic
Boat old port St Raphael to St Tropez - 5 crossings a day back and forth
Shell out for a taxi for the last leg of the journey.

Thats it. Now you know why the stars all charter a yacht for 20,000 a day and tender in for the clubs at night

Now looking at it this way the 250 limo may be a bargain.

Cheers

Reasonable? About twice the regular taxi fare is in no way reasonable. This company sneaked a plug for itself on Wikitravel's Nice pages. At best its a choice for anyone charging travel to expenses who doesn't care. For the rest of us, I have said elsewhere, take the bus and treat yourself to a good bottle of champagne with the saving on the taxi - or in this company's case - two bottles of champagne.
