I'm going on a 5 day vacation to St. Lucia...I'll be staying in Castries and plan to visit the Pitons and go on a few rainforest walks. How much spending money (not including a hotel) would you recommend that I bring in US dollars per day. I want to eat decent meals, and definitely explore the island. I'll be traveling with 3 others so travel expenses will be split. Is it possible to enjoy St. Lucia in five days for less than 500 US dollars?

Tours can cost simply US$100 plus for one person. So I'd advise you carry a lil' more esp. if you plan on dining at restaurants. If you hit the local seen when it comes to drinking ... such as a local bar and not a hotel bar, you should find that a better way to stretch your money.
