Just curious, how do you pronounce Vlissingen? Also does anyone know how difficult it would be to ride a bike from Middelburg to Vlissingen?
If I take the ferry to Breskens is there some sort of public transport I could take to Brugge? Would all this be possible as a day trip from Middleburg?

Flushing is the English word for Vlissingen, dont know if anybody will know what you mean if you say that outside that city, guess 8 of 10 people will look at you and dont know what you mean.

It will be a pleasant trip to cycle from Middelburg to Vlissingen. It is about 8 km. There are several scenic routes, but I recommend following the Kanaal door Walcheren. You can pick it up near the city center. Just keep on the city center side of the Kanaal, then you can't miss the cycling path that goes all the way to Vlissingen. At the end of the Kanaal you can turn left for the ferry to Breskens or go straight on alongside the harbor area for the Vlissingen city center. I don't know about the public transport from Breskens to Brugge. If you are feeling really sportive you can cycle all the way to Brugge. You can follow a canal from Sluis (also a nice town) on to Brugge. It's about 35 km to get there. I did it several times for a day trip to Brugge. Have fun!

Special pass holders have first access at the peak hours.

From the Breskens ferry terminal you can take Connexxion bus 2 to Brugge.
