Need a restaurant in Paris suitable for a group
Posted: Sun August 6, 2006 09:47 PM UTC
This is connected with the college trip I and my colleague in French are shepherding in late Nov.- early Dec. In Paris we want to have a good-bye dinner for them.

It needs to be inexpensive, preferrably a prix fixe for under 25 euro including mineral water. but at a place where we could be together as a group of at least 22 people, maybe a couple of guests -- let's say 24. And we need a reservation. I thought of Chartier, but they don't accept reservations [I'll check their website in a bit.]

It would be a Monday night probably, but it might be Sunday, which is a consideration.

We will probably be staying in the Bastille area, if that helps.

Thanks a lot!
I just checked Chartier's website and it looks as though they do reserve for groups so we shall see. It's a pretty iconic place. But I'm open to other suggestions ;)

Well, if you've the least bit of a 'foodie' in you, you should know those sites anyway! A group dinner in Paris sounds very festive and fun!

Hi Sally, My family enjoyed au chien qui fume by Les Halles on Avenue Pont Nuef. It seemed that the place had several rooms/areas that could accomodate your group. Website is in English with prices for the various menus.

Check out the Flo brasseries (www.flobrasseries.com). There are web links to each restaurant and the menus. And, there's a 15% discount if you book online.
