I wouldn't mind getting one from the Dear Leader... ...

Dear Confucius:
Wish you were here! Hope you like this postcard featuring a statue of my dad!
Yours truly,
Kim Jung Il

Yes,
I posted cards to myself and a few other people from the post office in the Yangakkdo Hotel. Mine arrived shortly after I got back to Canada. I think it took about 10 days. As far as I know all of the ones to other people arrived also.

We sent two cards from a stamp shop in Pyongyang. The cards never made their way to Switzerland. Probably the translator could not manage to translate from swiss germand and therefore just threw the cards away.....

I've sent a few and most of them got through. One that didn't was the practical joke card we sent with a text in 8 different languages. I guess that the censors that did English, French, Latin, Swedish, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and German weren't at work that day.

Thanks DSwede!!!

Your postcard mailed from Pyongyang with 140 Won stamps on Sep 3, 2007 has arrived in my mailbox in Malaysia on Oct 2, 2007 - two months later.

It is my first postcard sent from DPRK and will forever be a rare gem in my collection!
