accomodation recommendations?
Posted: Thu August 3, 2006 07:12 PM UTC
My friend and I are planning on heading over to Dublin in a couple of months time.

I've been twice before but both times I stayed at the HI hostel. This time we have decided we are done with dorm rooms and would prefer somewhere with a twin room and ensuite.

The only other stipulations we have right now is that it would be within walking distance of the bus station & not too expensive but clean etc.

There are a lot of different places in the accomodations listings here so it would be nice to be able to narrow it down somewhat

Thank you in advance!

I don't know what your price range is but we stayed at the Days Inn on Talbott st which is walking distance of the bus and train stations. It was off season which sounds like you will be too and over the internet it was 49 euro for a room for 2. We liked it there so much we booked it for 2 more nights on our way out of town but then it was 59 euro. Still pretty cheap for Dublin. I think we booked it at "hotels by city" which popped up as an ad on my VT page. (imagine that)

Jurys Inn on Customs House Quay could be good - think their website is www.jurys-doyle.com.
