| Lhasa | Traveling alone in Lhasa Posted: Thu August 3, 2006 04:17 AM UTC
I am a 68 yr old female who will be traveling to Lhasa alone. I will be met by a guide but will be alone on the train from Lhasa to Xining. I have traveled extensively but I wonder if you can provide any advice for traveling alone and whatI should beware of. I will be studying art in Hangzhou prior to heading for Tibet. I just want to feel comfortable traveling alone in Tibet.

I don't think you will have too much to worry about. Don't leave your valuables unattended on the train. Just common sense really. I found Tibet pretty easy going actually.

I can't help at all - Tibet is still on my must-do list - just wanted to say "goodonya!" from Australia. Nice to see ladies confident enough to travel alone.
