I would like to stay in Bari for 5-7 days. Is there any cheap but clean lodging anybody can recommend? Oh...and cheap flights from Rome to Bari as well. Thaanks.

Maybe it's too late,however...
About the transfer from Rome to Bari,I advice you the low-cost TrenOK by Trenitalia (www.trenok.com - prices:9,19 or 29 euros). About the accomodation,you can find some infos on the site "www.alberghieturismo.it" or on this link " http://www.comune.bari.it/comune/opencms/sito/Bari I could advice you which are the best accomodations for their position in the city.
