Pulau Redang Mosquitos
Posted: Mon July 31, 2006 06:21 PM UTC
Hello again!

We are coming to Redang in a few weeks time and found out, that our hotel (laguna) doesn't have mosquito nets over beds. Do we need to bring our own, or are there not that many mosquitos there?

Thanks a lot for answering!
Best Regards, Petra

Hi, not to worry much about mosquitos. I'd been to Redang and the resort that I'd stayed also do not providing mosquito nets. Facing no mosquitos disturbance at all but to play safe, just bring a small electric mosquito repeller which i don't think it will be used also. Have a safe and wonderful trip.

HI! Petra:

Just out of curiosity, for The Laguna Redang, is your room air-conned? If it is so, then it may explain why there aren't mosquito nets over your beds.......

Hi Petra

We were in Laguna in July; stayed in a deluxe seaview room. Mosquito net over the bed is really not necessary. Room is air conditioned. Also has a fan. In fact, some nights after dinner, we'd open the balcony door to savour the sea breeze - and there were no mozzies!

Just beginning my travel page on Redang. Will add the "Tips" portion this weekend. I'd probably start with the Hotel/Accommodation.

Enjoy Redang. It's beautiful. Would like to return soon.
