I am here in Mannheim until the 3rd and was wondering what is there to do....any suggestions? I plan to go to Heidelberg!

Apart from Heidelberg you can go to Speyer, Worms or Karlsruhe, all close to Mannheim and well connected by train. If you have a car, the Black Forest is a nice day trip.
