| Monterey | WHALE WATCHING Posted: Sat July 29, 2006 07:24 PM UTC
We are planning a whale watching trip out of Monterey July 2007 as part of a tour of Calfornia. Does any one know what our chances are of seeing Blue Whales at this time of year or is there a better place along the coast to veiw them.

Here's a link to the sightings so far this July.
http://www.montereybaywhalewatch.com/slstcurr.htm. As far as places to see them, I think Monterey is the best bet off the CA coast.

The link in that last posting was very valuable, and I'd go with that. But, most whale watching boats find success starting in November with the whale migrations. I don't know about the Blue Whale migrations though.
