| Skopje | Bus Stations and Lockers Posted: Fri July 28, 2006 04:16 PM UTC
Hi there / pozdrav svima!
We are going to spend a half a day in Skopje. Our bus is coming from Dubrovnik in early morning and we are leaving for Ohrid later that day. Are there separate bus stations for international/domestic lines, or they are both at the same place? How far is it from the city center? Is it advisable to book bus tickets for Ohrid a day in advance (early August)? Are there any lockers at the bus stations, or something similar, as we would like to leave our baggage while we are strolling through Skopje? Many thanks, Viktor. |

I was at the bus station in Skopje a few weeks ago. It is quite huge and in the same building as the train station. I noticed national and domestic arrivals/departures. There is a left-luggage counter where you can leave your luggage for a couple of hours or even days for a fee. Plenty of buses run Skopje - Ohrid and there seemed no need at all to book in advance as the buses I took on this route were not even half ful.
