Hurricane Daniel is no more. It has been down-graded to a tropical depression and no further strengthening is expected.
Here's the Central Pacific Hurricane Center's assessment: "1000 AM HST THU JUL 27 2006 FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC...BETWEEN 140W AND 180 Isolated thunderstorms are developing to the west and northwest of the weak low level circulation associated with the remnants of tropical depression Daniel. Further development of this system is not expected. Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Saturday morning." Ref: http://www.prh.noaa.gov/cphc/
