San Carlos de Bariloche Travel Forum

I am going to be coming to Bariloche in early September but I'm not sure the best way to get there. I am getting ready to purchase my plane ticket and need to know the best method of traveling to Bariloche from either
Buenos Aires or Mendoza. I was trying to price plane tickets and also
bus tickets but am having a hard time figuring it out. Any advice you have would be a huge help. Gracias!

I would take the bus actually. Plaintickets to and from Bariloche aren't that cheap. The busses are very good. You can take a bus in the evening, take a good rest (there are busses with beds), and next day you are where you have to be...
Furthermore, I never thought about it first, but know that I have read about it, flying is bad for the environment. Sometimes it is necessary, but if you can avoid it...?
One of the best buscompanies is Taca. I don't know if they go through Bariloche. Andesmar is another option. Take "ejecutivo" and you will feel like in first class of a plain...

Look into ViaBariloche, the best company going from Buenos Aires to Bariloche. They won't go from Mendoza though. I would say Mendoza to Bariloche is too long and you have to connect to another bus, probably in Neuquen. I did Mendoza to San Martin de los Andes once and it was just too long. Andesmar does a good bus from BA to Mendoza. Plane vs bus, depends how much time you have.
