Estacar de la Duquesa Travel Forum

im going to spain to a place called duquesa just south of marbella or something im going on friday so i will need a prompt response.

im 17 having driving lessons at present with my test in a month, i have obviously got a provisional liscense but i was wondering would i be able to get one around the area of where i am going.

if so how much per day, fuel information, engine power etc

I live in Spain now and then, when Im not all the way across the world in China! I know Puerto de la Duquesa that youre talking about (and its not the one that you have put it under on your map...its so small that it wont actually be listed anyway). Its a cool place and is quite a way from marbella though.

I dont think you can hire a car on a provisional license though...you need to ahve had your real license for over three years before hiring a car in Spain, possibly Europe. So I think its a no go for you Im afraid. But there are buses going to several places from aound the Duqesa area, so it shouldnt be too hard to get places. Have fun..The weather is fantastic right now over there!

ah,..i KNEW i had read moped somewhere and as i was writing car I felt like it didnt seem right! But now, Ive just seen the title of your question and seen it says moped! Well thats a diff kettle of fish! In Spain they seem to let anybody at any age ride a moped. I have no idea what the age limit is or even if you need to show id..its weird..you see 14years old scooting around on them!

I suggest when you get there, you go to a hire place (if there is one in duquesa...you could always try sabinillas just up the road, its the nearest town) and see how it stands...i cant give you a definite answer sorry!
