| Kuwait | tennis? Posted: Wed July 26, 2006 03:17 AM UTC
Are there any tennis clubs in Kuwait? Are any attached to one of the sports clubs? Are there any indoor tennis places? I am looking for somewhere to take lessons and to play with others and it would be a bonus if it was a place where there was also a gym etc so I could join all of it. Thanks.

Hey there, I have been looking at health clubs and activities in Kuwait through forums and websites and "The palms beach hotel & spa" http://www.thepalms-kuwait.com/ has tennis as well as instruction for tennis - not sure how good you are, I suck but would be interested in playing and taking lessons. The palms also has an amazing health club but looks very expensive. Now I've never been there in person, I'll be moving to Kuwait for my first time in August. Also if you find other places that have tennis, and health club/gym or what you think of the different gyms please let me know.
Best of luck.

Yes, I saw that palm beach club one...have been surfing their site. I agree the club itself isn't cheap--there is a chart there somewhere with prices that I looked at the other day. Might be worth it if it was clean, safe, etc. I will certainly keep you posted if I find tennis elsewhere...it seems that there is plenty of it in Dubai but not as much in Kuwait. Hopefully I am wrong.
I am moving there in August as well. Keep in touch.

I am moving to the Salwa area of Kuwait at the end of this month. I'm a 27 year old female moving by myself, and I would love to play tennis or work out or just about anything to start establishing a network. My apartment is within walking distance of the Palms Beach Club, and even though it is quite expensive, I have heard great things about it, and I'm planning on joining. I'm also looking at taking some Arabic classes at the Aware Center. Please let me know if anyone would be interested. I'm going to be working standard business hours Sunday through Thursday, and I'm wide open outside of those hours! My e-mail address is kylie.rogers@gmail.com.

Hi
Before you join the Palm Beach, visit the gym during weekdays after 6,00pm and the facilities during thursdays and fridays....the place is crowded... I was there and I was not impressed at all Regards. The Brasilian.
