| Bolzano | Travelling from Bolzano to Turin Posted: Wed July 26, 2006 02:46 AM UTC
Hi there,
I'm a little confused about getting a train from Bolzano to Turin. I went to the trenitalia web site and it implies that I have to catch two trains yet only shows one train trip to Milan... What is the easiest way to get there? Are we better off flying? Thank you. |

| Bolzano | RE: Travelling from Bolzano to Turin Posted: Wed July 26, 2006 04:26 AM UTC You are going to go through Verona and Milano to get to Torino. This will mean a train change in V or M or both. Maybe you should patch together your own connections in Verona and Milano if the web site won't give you the Bolzano to Torino information.

I see. We are going through Verona actually so maybe I should change the itinerary around to suit this.

What's the problem with trenitalia site?
It shows all the solutions, with change station(s). 2 change stations = 3 trains (mostly Blazano-Bozen Verona, then Verona-Milano and next Milano-Torino). To see the detail of every solution click on the solution number (it's a link). No flyght solution at all, sorry. Francesco

Ah, ok. Gosh, that's a long trip. I think I'd rather change it so we go from Verona.

Hi,
As the previous replies have said, trenitalia has all the info, but there is lots of choices of routes and where you change trains. As you have to go through Verona anyway, it is well worth taking 2 or 3 hours to see the town centre (including Juliets house). Then you can catch a direct train to Turin, or change at Milan central depending on the timetable that day. Good luck Andy
