Around Islamabad , you'll probably get the best of everything . Many expats around . Let me know if i could be of help when you guys come down here .

And Rawal Lake is family -oriented spot like almost all picnic or outing spots in Pak . I dont know what kinda activities youre talking about specifically here . There is only some rowing there but i dont think there is anything more than that . Though there are parks for walking and trails for walking/hiking,jogging in Isb that you can enjoy , and there are a couple of Hill stations outside isb that you guys could get away to on weekends . "Nathiagali" is a nice hilly town , 3 or 3 and a half hours away from isb by road , before that there is Murree , patriata, Bhurban and around isb , there is Pirsohawa and other places of interest .

Are you in Islamabad yet? My husband and I will be coming there in summer. I understand there is a Catholic Mass held at the Vatican embassy.
I just wanted to write to you to say hello, we probably will meet in Islamabad at some point in future!
