I am finally going to Sequoia! (next weekend). I'll just be able to spend one day in Sequoia, and plan to start in the Giant Forest, then go to Grant Grove. How long will it take to drive between the two locations? Any suggestions on what to see along the way would be greatly appreciated!

I found the answer....it takes about an hour. This information was provided with the maps on the park's website. Also note that it takes about an hour to get to the Giant Forest after entering the park outside of Three Rivers. It's a beautiful drive from 800' to 7000' (at the General Sherman tree). You'll see Mono Rock along the way. You can climb to the top of Mono Rock, too (there are steps and a handrail), but we didn't have time...
