| Puerto Barrios | Visa for Guatemala / sea routes Belize-Guatemala Posted: Fri July 21, 2006 05:21 PM UTC
Will I get a new visa for Guatemala if I enter by boat from Belize? And which sea routes exist between Guatemala and Belize.

Yes, you will! You can take a boat from Punta Gorda, Belize to Livingston, Guatemala! There's no reason at all to stay in Punta Gorda for the night - there's nothing to do and the town is ugly (believe me, I did it). I think the last boat to Livingston leaves at 4 p.m. If you don't catch it then you can take an other boat going to Puerto Barrios and from there take the bus to Livingston. Leaving Belize by boat is much cheaper than any other way! It costs you about 7.50 BD!
Have fun!
