Hi
The bus takes approximately 50 minutes to circumnavigate the island. As at May 2006, the cost of tickets were as follows: Single trip: 3 NZD Return trip: 5 NZD 10 trips: 20 NZD I saw much of the island in 3 days, but I would have liked to have spent a few more days there. If you're just wanting to sightsee, then you can probably see everything that you want to see in 3 days. I'd have liked to have spent a few more days there in order to spend more time on the beach and complete the cross-island hike. Enjoy the Cooks!! Jonathan

You're welcome! :-)
A bit more information that you'll probably find useful: The buses run continuously throughout the day (Mon - Sat) from 7am to 4pm. The night buses (clockwise only) run from 6pm to 11pm (Mon - Thurs + Sat) and until 2am on Fridays. On Sundays, only the clockwise bus runs. It runs from 8am - noon and then 2pm to 4pm. There are no night buses on Sundays. There are bus stops right around the island, but you can also stop it wherever you like in between stops! Have fun! Jonathan

The locals are really friendly! They are completely laid back, nothing is done in too much of a hurry!

You'll love the Cook Islands. The bus is easy and inexpensive but you might also want to rent a scooter for a day. If you do, you'll have to get a Cook Island driver's licence which costs $10 and you will need to take a "test" - easy enough. Three days is enough to explore the island as it's only 32 k around but just relaxing on the almost deserted beaches might take you a little longer :)
