I have limited time to get from Rennes train station to Rennes airport. Can anyone give me advise e.g. is there a particular entrance or is there a shuttle service to the airport and if so from which exit?

Hi. Try this web site. http://www.rennes.aeroport.fr
There is a bus #57 that takes 35 minutes from Republic, Pl. de la Maire in the center of Rennes to the airport (Gautrais stop in St. Jacques de la Lande). Buses run from 6:50 to 19:45. If your time is limited, you may want to take a taxi. If there is a shuttle service, it should be listed on the above web site. If you don't read French, try to right click on the web page and scroll down to "Translate web page." It's not a great translation but it gets the point across. I assume most computers will do this. (For some odd reason, bus translates as drunk so when you see the word drunk, it means "bus." Odd . . . )

I think you would do best to get a taxi from the station, which will only take 10 minutes. There is a bus (no. 57) but it goes from place de la Mairie ("République" stop), which is on the other side of the river from the station, and will only take you to the centre of Saint-Jacques de la Lande, some 800 m from the airport; it takes about 35 minutes, running between 06:50 and 19:45, more-or-less once an hour. For more information, including whether perhaps the bus stops at the station on the way out to St. Jacques (although if it does it is odd that this isn't mentioned on the airport's website), phone STAR : 0811 555 535 (from outside France, precede with 33 and drop the 0).
