We are going to be staying at the Mercure and I would like to know if there are any restaurant near the hotel. I would like try Polish cuisine. Also is there grocery stores close to that hotel.

The Mercure Hotel is in the very center of Poznan and there is a restaurant inside the hotel. I'm sure they serve Polish cuisine there. If you want to try other restaurants, go to the Old Market and enjoy the restaurants there. On foot it's about 20 minutes or you can take any tram no 2,5,9 or 13 and get off at "Plac Wiosny Ludow". It's only a short walk from there. Ask students for directions, they speak English. Enjoy your stay!
