Pretty much any GHs you stay at you'll be able to find someone easily. All the GHs have a notice board that you can find tonnes of ppl in the same boat as you, looking for partners to travel to Nepal as a group. Or you can start your own post too.

Mim95 is right. Just walk around the hostels and travel agencies and you'll find lots of boards.

I stayed in Yak's Guesthouse and I liked it.

Hi,

I'll be leaving for Tibet soon, later this month and will be staying in budget guesthouses too. I know I can easily meet like-minded travelers there, but I am still wondering about certain issues...like...How is the conditions of these guesthouses, esp those outside of Lhasa, and the toilets...? Is there anything that I would need to take note of? Esp for a female traveller? Thanks!

well, you can find western toilets in Lhasa's GHs. I've only stayed for a night outside Lhasa so I can't make a generalized statement. But the one that I stayed at had the very traditional squat toilets.
