Hey everyone,

I have not beem here in a while but I know someone will come through and help me cuz you'all have always done so. Visiting The Hague this weekend (Fri. & Sat)and I have three questions.

1. Can I take the tram from the center where our hotel is to Scheveningen (the beach)? If not what is the best way to get there, taxi?

2. I looked up the transportation info at http://www.holland.com/include/loadaddenhaagnl.html?page=http://www.htm.net but I am not sure if the map is for just the trams, or trams and buses. I was hoping maybe someone could read the non-English section and it will be clearer.

3. Are there places/bars there where you can play pool?

Take tram #1 or #11 from Den Haag to Scheveningen. From the city center it will take you about 20 minutes.
Make sure that you buy your tickets ("strippenkaart") before you use the tram. Buying it "on board" will cost you 3 times more!

Can't help with the pool bars, but if you wanna know about good bars in The Hague you can write to me.

As for the website, use http://www.htm.net/smartsite.dws?id=7498 it's in Dutch, but if you check the first link there and choose the tram number it will show you the route.

i used tram 9 as well when i stayed in Scheveningen that to go to the center. if I remember rightly for trams 1 and 9 the final destination is Kurhaus that is in 1 minute from the beach by feet.
