Are there any place near Wellington to Bungee Jump?

Hi, unfortunately there isn't anywhere close to Wellington which operates Bungy Jumping. If you are visiting other places in NZ it might be worth looking at www.newzealand.com and click on the link at the top of the page 'Sights & Activities', then click on the 'Activities' link and then the 'Land Activities'. It will have a link to Bungy which shows 9 sites where they are operating.

You can bungee jump in most places but i dont think you can in Wellington or the surrounding areas.

Although there's no Bungee Jumping near Wellington, there is a central city Bungee Tower. It's like a big rubber band that launches you into the air.
Located on the corner of Taranaki Street and Courtenay Place.

It's quite a thrill...

But not quite the real thing ;)

The bungee tower in Wellington (Courtenay Place) is lame. I would suggest, if you plan to bungee or skydive, or do any such adventure, go to the Rotorua/Taupo area. There they have the best deals and the best experiences.

Thanks so much to all your replies. I guess I have to go to Queenstown or some place else to experience the real thing.
