Tourism department organises festival for a fortnight (December- January) every year comprising ox exhibition, cultural show, tribals' program etc.
Subhash Mela is organised in January every year at Havelock Island. Vivekanand Mela is organised at Neil Island on birthday of Swami Vivekananda. Block Mela on Rural areas Is held is January/February every year at Diglipur.
