My son along with 8 others are going to try to break the world's record by reppelling down the front side of Mount Thor. I have no way to get in touch with them. My question is if anyone is traveling to tour Mount Thor anytime soon and if there is any way that if they know of anything about the team that they could let us know. Are there any places around there to stay if I were to come there? I do not know anything about that area. I am very worried about them. Please if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thank you.

sir,.....they have a satellite phone with them....get in touch with one of the teams members wives and you can talk to your son.......
there are places in pang to stay, goggle (pangnirtung lodging)......

Thank you, yes he did call me on Sat. They started there rapell on Sun. so far 4 out of the nine have done it. They are doing 2 per day. They did break the worlds record. I am more at ease now, not totally as my son has not done the drop yet. At least they have completed their mission. They tried this in 2004 but could not complete it due to weather.
