Why don't you go on the Greyhound bus? The timetable is lousy (you either leave in the middle of the night or arrive in the middle of the night), but the 7 day advance purchase fare is only $45...

Southwest Airlines has airfares on their non stops as low as $79.00. Check out the website www.southwest.com

A lot of people go to SD from Tucson, especially during the summer. You might do better on a Ride Share forum web site though.
Also, don't forget to post what dates you're looking at.
