Thank you for your tips about nuernberg; bu t in addition may i ask something else; do you have any idea how Nuernberg is in this period of the year? I mean is it crowded or do pleople leave the city for the holiday?

residents will leave the city, but there will be more tourist, or people on day trips.
spechial tip: if you can leave nuernberg for one day towards the "fraenkische schweiz" a very niche landscape no to far east of nuernberg. beside that: old castle ( "Festung" ) and the railway museum.

yes
