| York | York to London Posted: Mon July 10, 2006 04:00 AM UTC
Hi all,
We've encountered a train problem coming up on August 6th. We'll be in York and we'll need to get into London HTR at around 10AM to make a flight to Rome. Sadly, the 7:00ish train from York has been cancelled. Can someone suggest alternate affordable travel to the airport? Thanks for any information. A website would be great. Thanks, Tom |

www.nationalrail.co.uk or www.thetrainline.com have timetables and fares. I am surprised the train you mention has been cancelled so far in advance but there are other trains (unless you mean all the London trains are to be cancelled?). You could get an earlier train, or get the bus/coach to somewhere like Leeds and get the London train from there.
You can get a coach for 32.50 one-way, but it will take more than 6 hours. www.nationalexpress.com for timetables and fares.
