we are planing a trip to the Primorsky region to look for my family. They are from the Valdivostok/Ussuriysk/Nikolskoye area. Their name is Tonexa/Topekha. We are trying to locate people in the area with the same surname to try and trace our family.
Does anyone have any idea how we start to trace them? What is the best time of year to travel as we will be travelling sometime in 2007? If anyone can help please email me at lindaedwards12@eircom.net |

My name is Julia and I'm working in First Informational center in Vladivostok wwww.discoveryclub.info . We'll be very glad to help you. I think that first you should go to address bureau and they give such info to people who search their families. We'll show where is it as soon as you get to the city. It is in downtown but it has tricky schedule :-) Also I ask my friends what people do in such situations. The best season is July, August and September but it is the time when everything is overloaded with tourist and prices go up. But it is a beautiful season. I think if you have a strong desire to find your relatives it will be possible. One more questions regarding your visa. What type of visa will you get& If you already have an agency who does it for you - make sure you have all cities : Vladivostok, Ussuriisk and etc listed in your voucher , otherwise you'll have problem entering this zones!
