GOING TO CROATIA IN AUGUST,STOPPING AT THE HOTEL DELFIN,WOULD WELCOME ANY OPINIONS ON HOTEL AND GENERAL TIPS FOR THE SURROUNDING AREA.

I stayed in Hotel Delfin back in year 2000. It is a huge hotel (800 rooms or so), situated in Zelena Laguna resort, few kilometres south of Porec. The resort itself offers everything from sports to beaches, shopping to nightlife. There is a small train that connects it with Porec.
Hotel is quite old, but well kept. I had a room with a sea view and it was spacious, clean and with a balcony (no a/c though). Hotel has several restaurants, all offering huge buffets. There is a pool and the usual shopping/services utilities of the big hotel. Beach is right in front of the hotel. If you don't mind staying in a huge hotel built in the 1970s, where you really feel as being part of the tourist "industry", go there.
