New Zealand South island tour.

Whilst visiting my daughter in Auckland at Christmas we have booked a bus tour of South Island. There are no trips included should we book on line before we go for such things a shotover jet ride , heli-rides mount cook etc or would we be able to just get on the trips when we arrive in each resort.

It's a very busy time then, if you don't book you risk missing out or wasting a lot of time waiting. Have a great trip. Remember even in summer, it can throw you a cold spell down here, so bring at least a waterproof.

you may like to check out the weather before booking all your adventures. we had no problems with booking our rides the day before. we went in early Dec 2005.

Early Dec is not quite as busy as after Christmas, but either booking or revising bookings 2 - 3 days ahead, is a good idea.

We are visting South Island in January 2007 and particularly want to make sure we can get on trips - eg to Doubtful Sound. I found the booking very easy and they have a 24hour before cancelation policy so if you have to change things around a few days before you won't lose out.
