I'm an American who will be traveling on a motorcycle in September. I'm starting on the west coast of the U.S. and am wondering if it's possible to hitch a ride for my bike and myself on a ship of some kind from eastern Canada, perhaps Newfoundland, over to Greenland. Once there, my fantasy is to explore, then to go on to Iceland and then to Norway.
When I say "hitch a ride," I don't mean that I expect a free ride (though wouldn't that be nice). What I don't know (actually I find there's a lot I don't know) is if such travel is even possible. And, assuming this to be possible, is September too late in the year to be on a motorcycle that far north? Many thanks for any information and/or advice. Mike |
