Is it worth a pay cut to move to Buffalo?
I have a job opportunity to move to Buffalo. I currently reside near Baltimore, have a nice home, in a nice community, but Buffalo is where I'm from and have family there. The pay cut is about 10%. Will the lower cost of housing make up for it? or the higher property taxes off set that? |

I believe it WOULD be worth it. But you may want to do some research yourself. I'd check out the following websites before you make your decision:
www.buffalo.com Click on "Homes" at the top for Realtor listings Some other great sites for the Buffalo area in general are: www.buffalorising.com www.buffalonycalendar.com I hope this helps!!

Here is a website that might be useful:
http://www.bestplaces.net/city/ You can plug in two cities and then choose "cost of living" for a comparison of expenses in several different categories (e.g., housing, health care, etc.). You can also compare climate, transportation, education and other useful categories.
