Hi all,
I am thinking about whether or not to pack my mobile phone to koh Tao. I think I will be staying on Sai Ree beach - does anyone know if there is mobile coverage on the island and if yes , if its good or patchy? Thanks a lot, loking forward to your response! |

I would bring it. The cell system all over Thailand is pretty darn good, I have had better service with fewer dropped calles then in the states...
one friend explained it like this... in remote areas it is a lot cheaper to put up one cell tower then it is to run cable and poles etc. everywhere... that's why in SE Asia.... Asia.... the ME... everyone has cell phones. Happy Travels!
