Hi
Does anyone know if it's possible to leave luggage at Treviso airport? Or somewhere nearby? We will return our hire car to the airport before going on for a quick overnight trip to Venice before flying home and do not want to take all our luggage with us to Venice. Any ideas welcome. Thanks

Well, I looked at the airport website ( http://www.trevisoairport.it/?lan=en ), and I did not see anything about a Left Luggage service (and normally they would).

Is it possible to drop your car off in Venice itself? I say this because Avis, for example, has an office at Piazzale Roma (which is the only place you can drive in Venice). In this case, you could drive to Venice to Piazzale Roma, drop the car there, either take the luggage to your hotel or cross the Canal and leave it at the Left Luggage at the train station (www.veneziasantalucia.it), then pick it up the next morning as you board the bus or train back to Treviso (the bus goes straight to the airport from Piazzale Roma, the train goes from Santa Lucia station to the town of Treviso nearby).

The same thing would work if your car rental office were near the Venice Mestre station, since (1) there is a Left Luggage facility there as well (see www.veneziamestre.it ), and (2) the bus for the airport stops at Mestre on the way (see the following URL).
